Bean Soup Army Style

Ingredients

• I cup navy beans
• Yz cup diced onion
• 7 cups water
• i tablespoon vegetable butter
• 3/3 cup diced carrot
• Chopped parsley
• Salt to taste

Method

1. 1

   Wash beans, add to cold water, and boil.

   Simmer until done, adding salt.

   In another saucepan, cook carrot and onion in butter until absorbed.

   Add broth from beans, season, and simmer until cooked.

   Combine with bean soup, boil, and serve with parsley.
