Bean and Macaroni Pie

Ingredients

• 1 cup Lima beans
• 1 cup broken macaroni
• 1 tablespoon vegetable butter
• 1 tablespoon flour
• Salt to taste

Method

   Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until done, saving the water.

   Cook beans until tender with salt.

   Stir butter and flour over fire until blended, add bean broth, stir smooth, then add enough macaroni water to make 2 cups liquid.

   Add macaroni and beans, shake together, pour into an oiled baking pan, cover with pie crust, and bake as for bean and potato pie.
