Baked Tomatoes

Ingredients

• Wash and wipe as many ripe tomatoes as you wish to bake
• lay them in a granite or earthen ware plate or pan

Method

   Wash and wipe the tomatoes, remove green spots and blemishes, lay them in a plate or pan, and bake slowly for twenty minutes.

   If very juicy, simmer until the juice thickens.

   When done, remove to a glass dish, pour the juice over them, and serve cold.
