Baked Indian Pudding

Ingredients

• One quart of milk heated
• 1 cup molasses
• 7 tablespoonfuls Indian meal
• 1/2 cup sugar
• butter the size of an egg
• 2 eggs

Method

   Beat all ingredients together with raisins and a little cinnamon.

   Pour heated milk into the mixture, set into the oven until it bubbles, stirring occasionally.

   Take out, beat out lumps, add cold milk, put in a pudding dish, and bake for 1 hour in a slow oven.
