Baked Custard

Ingredients

• one pint of milk
• three dessertspoonfuls sugar
• four eggs
• one-half teaspoonful salt
• nutmeg or lemon flavoring
• one-half cup cold milk

Method

   Scald milk, beat eggs and sugar, add salt and flavoring, then scalding milk.

   Fill custard cups and bake in hot water until set and lightly browned.
