Applesauce Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup cold unsweetened applesauce
• 1 egg
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 cup raisins and nuts cut in pieces
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method

   Cream butter, add sugar gradually.

   Add eggs and beat thoroughly.

   Add applesauce.

   Add flour sifted with dry ingredients; add raisins and nuts.

   Bake approximately 12 to 15 minutes in 375° oven.

   Makes approximately 24 cup cakes.
