Apple Sauce Cake

Ingredients

• 1% cups apple sauce
• 1% cup butter
• 1 cup seeded raisins
• 1 t. cinnamon
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 2 t. soda
• 1 t. nutmeg

Method

   Do not sweeten apple sauce.

   Add soda to sauce and beat until light and fluffy.

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Warm sauce and add butter mixture.

   Add spices.

   Stir in flour.

   Thoroughly dredge raisins with flour and add to mixture.

   Bake in two layers and put together with white icing.

   Bake in moderate oven 30 minutes.
