Apple Sauce Cake

Ingredients

• Y cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup cold, unsweetened apple sauce
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 cup raisins and nuts, cut in pieces
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 14 teaspoon powdered clove
• 2 cups flour

Method

   Cream butter, add sugar gradually.

   Add soda to apple sauce and add to butter and sugar.

   Add other ingredients and bake in buttered and floured pan for 40 minutes in moderate oven (350°F).
