Apple Amber

Ingredients

• Six ounces of Bread-crumbs
• Two ounces of Flour
• Four ounces of Suet
• Three-quarters of a pound of Apples
• Two ounces of castor Sugar
• One Lemon
• Nutmeg
• Two Eggs
• Half an ounce of Fat

Method

   Chop suet finely and mix with flour.

   Peel and chop apples, add breadcrumbs, sugar, lemon peel, and nutmeg.

   Mix in eggs.

   Grease a pint mould, pour in mixture, tie cloth over top, and boil for three hours.
