Almond Cream Cake

Ingredients

• One pound sugar
• one pound flour
• three-fourths pound butter
• two teaspoons baking powder
• whites of sixteen eggs

Method

   Cream the butter and sugar and beat well.

   Beat the eggs stiff and add half the flour and half the eggs to the butter and sugar.

   Stir for fifteen minutes, then add the other half of eggs and flour with baking powder, stir hard for a few minutes and bake at once in layers.
