ALBANY CAKE (1 50 years old) and still used in the family Great Grandmother, Ridgzvay, N. J. One and one-half pounds flour, one-half pound butter, one pound sugar, two eggs, one nutmeg, one- half teaspoonful saleratus or pearlash, dissolved in one-half tea cup of cream. If you like them add one-half pound of currants.
