5-Minute Devil’s Food Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 t. soda
• iteevanilla
• 3 heaping T. cocoa
• 1% cup shortening
• 1% cup sour milk
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup boiling water

Method

   Put cup of water on to boil; grease pan.

   Next put sugar, shortening and eggs in mixing bowl and mix well.

   Add sour milk in which soda has been dissolved.

   Add cocoa, flour, salt, and vanilla.

   Mix thoroughly and add last the boiling water.

   Mix quickly and bake in loaf pan in slow oven for about 1 hour.
