IX cups sugar, 3 eggs, X cup cold water, 1 teaspoonful soda, 2 tea- spoons cream tartar, 2X cups flour. Beat eggs 5 minutes, then beat cg^s and sugar 2 minutes. QUICK CAKE. 1-3 cup soft butter, 11-3 cups brown sugar, 1% cups flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 2 eggs, X teaspoon cinnamon, % cup milk, % teaspoon grated nutmeg, % Ibfl dates (stoned and cut fine)Quick Cake.
