PINEAPPLE CHUTNEY

No, 2 1/2 can sliced pineapple
1 Cup vinegar
1 Cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Small clove garlic, minced
1/4 Cup slivered blanched almonds
1/2 Cup seedless raisins
1/2 Green pepper, chopped fine
2 Tbsp. finely chopped crystalized ginger
Cut pineapple in 3/4 inch pieces . Add
vinegar, brown sugar and salt--Cook slowly
20-30 minutes--Stir in remaining ingredients
and continue cooking over low heat until
thickened--Stir occasionally to prevent
scorching--Makes two pints.
