Whisky Infusion

Ingredients

• two and one-half pounds of granulated sugar
• one gallon of best whisky

Method

1. 1

   Crush the stones in a wooden vessel, then put them into a deep stone jar.

   Add the sugar and cover with whisky.

   Stir well, pour into a demijohn, cork tightly, and let it stand for a month, shaking every day.

   After a month, strain off and bottle.

   It is good in six months, but better in a year.
