Turnips with Potatoes

Ingredients

• 2 tea-cupfuls cooked turnips.
• 2 tea-cupfuls cooked potatoes.
• 1 to 2 oz. dripping or butter.
• 4 table-sps. hot milk.

Method

   Rub the potatoes and turnips through a sieve.

   Melt butter in a saucepan, add the sieved vegetables, and stir over the fire, seasoning with pepper and salt.

   Add hot milk and beat until light and white.

   Arrange in a hot dish and garnish with fried croutons.
