Tea Bretzels (German Recipe)

Ingredients

• half a pound of butter
• a dessertspoonful of sugar
• six eggs
• one-third of an ounce of cinnamon
• three-tenths of an ounce of grated lemon peel
• a pinch of salt of ammonia
• as much fine flour as will make a good dough

Method

   Stir butter and sugar to froth, mix in cinnamon, lemon peel, salt, and enough flour to make a dough.

   Shape into cakes, flatten, coat in sugar, and bake.
