Tapioca Pudding

Ingredients

• 1 pint of milk
• 2 ozs. tapioca
• 1 oz. butter, or shredded suet
• 1 egg

Method

   Butter a pie dish, add tapioca, remaining butter or suet, and half the milk.

   Let tapioca swell in a cool oven for half an hour, then add beaten egg and the rest of the milk.

   Grate nutmeg on top and bake in a slow oven for about three quarters of an hour.
