Strawberry or Gooseberry Fool

Ingredients

• One pound of either Fruit
• One gill of Water, or Milk
• Half pound of Sugar
• One gill of Cream

Method

   Cook the fruit in water (or milk) with sugar for twenty minutes or until tender.

   Rub through a sieve with a wooden spoon.

3. 3

   When cold, add cream, mix well, and serve cold.
