Stewed Steak

Ingredients

• 1 lb. beef steak
• 2 carrots
• I oz. dripping
• 2 onions
• 3 oz. flour
• 3 pint of stock
• Seasoning

Method

   Slice the onions and carrots.

   Cut the meat into neat pieces and fry quickly in the dripping.

   Take out the meat, fry the onions for about 5 minutes, then add the flour and carrots and fry slowly until brown.

   Add the stock and stir until it boils, replace the meat, add a little salt, cover tightly, and cook slowly for 2-3 hours.

   Taste and season before serving.
