Spanish Cake 1 cup Crisco 3 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 cup milk 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla 1. Cream Crisco with sugar. 2. Beat eggs separately. 3. Add beaten yolks to 1. Beat with egg beater. 4. Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon and vanilla. — Mrs. George Edwards. Potato Flour Cake Beat whites of 4 eggs 2 minutes. Add V2 cup sugar and beat 2 minutes more. Beat yolks of 4 eggs 3 minutes. Add ~j cup sugar and beat 3 minutes. Combine whites and yolks and add \ 2 cup potato flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. vanilla. Bake in 2 layers in slow oven for 15 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or cover with butter frosting. —Mrs. C. H.
