Sour Milk Griddle Cakes (with Lemon Syrup)

Ingredients

• flour
• 1 tp soda
• sour milk
• 2 tb sugar
• 2 tp water
• I tp butter
• 1 tb egg
• 2 c sour milk
• 1 c sugar
• water
• 1 tp butter
• 1 tb lemon juice

Method

   Sift flour and dry ingredients together.

   Beat the egg and mix with milk.

   Combine with dry ingredients to form a smooth batter.

   For syrup, boil sugar and water for 5 minutes, then stir in lemon juice and butter.

   Prepare the pan and cook the cakes as in previous lesson.
