Snow Birds

Ingredients

• 1 doz. snow birds
• 2 oz. of boiled salt pork
• 3 sliced raw potatoes
• 1 pt. of oyster juice
• an oz, of blitter
• salt
• pepper

Method

   Clean the snow birds thoroughly.

   Put a couple of oysters in each, lay them in a dish, add boiled salt pork and sliced raw potatoes.

   Add oyster juice, butter, salt, and pepper.

   Make a crust over the dish and bake in a moderate oven.
