Savory String Beans

Ingredients

• 2 medium sized onions
• 1/2 tsp pepper
• 1 pint strained stewed tomato
• 2 tbsps butter or fat
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 cloves
• 2 tsps sugar
• 1 qt cooked string beans

Method

   Shred and saute onions in 2 tbsps fat until tender and yellow.

   Add stewed tomato, season highly with salt, pepper, sugar, cloves, etc.

   When boiling, add string beans and simmer 15 minutes.
