Salted Beans with Dried White Beans

Ingredients

• 1 pint dried white beans
• 1 pound lean bacon
• 1 quart of well-washed salted beans
• boiling water
• boiling water

Method

   Soak the dried white beans overnight.

   In the morning, place them in a saucepan, cover with cold water, add the bacon, and cook until tender.

   In another saucepan, cover the salted beans with boiling water and cook for 30 minutes.

   Drain, rinse, and return to the saucepan with fresh boiling water, cooking for another 40 minutes.

   Drain again, then combine both types of beans and cook together for 10 minutes before serving.
