Rhubarb or Green Apple Fritters

Ingredients

• 2 well-beaten eggs
• 1 cup sour milk
• 1 level teasp soda
• a little salt
• flour enough to make a not too thick batter
• 1 pt raw sliced rhubarb or green cooking apples

Method

   To eggs, add sour milk with dissolved soda and a little salt.

   Then add flour to make a not too thick batter.

   Stir in raw sliced rhubarb or green apples.

   Fry in plenty of hot fat and serve hot with syrup.
