Pudding (Bachelor's)

Ingredients

• 1.5 cupfuls of Bread-Crumbs
• 0.5 lb. of Sugar
• 3 oz. of Flour
• 1 teaspoonful of Nutmeg
• 4 Eggs
• 0.5 lb. of Currants or Raisins
• 1 teaspoonful of Soda
• 1 lb. of Suet
• about 1 pint of buttermilk

Method

   Mix all ingredients together and add buttermilk.

   If buttermilk is unavailable, use sweet milk and substitute baking powder for soda.

   Boil for three to four hours.

   Serve with wine sauce.
