Plum Cakes (Hermits)

Ingredients

• half a cup of butter
• one of sugar
• a tablespoonful of milk
• two lightly beaten eggs
• two cups of flour
• a heaping teaspoonful of baking powder
• a cupful of stoned and chopped raisins

Method

   Cream butter and sugar, add milk and eggs.

   Mix in flour with baking powder and raisins.

   Roll out, cut in rounds, and bake for ten to fifteen minutes.
