Peach Chips

Ingredients

• one-half pound of sugar
• one of fruit

Method

1. 1

   Slice the peaches nicely, weigh them, and boil the sugar until it forms a thick syrup.

   Put in the sliced peaches and cook until clear.

   Remove with a skimmer, spread on boards, and set in the sun.

4. 4

   When nearly dry, sprinkle with sugar on both sides and keep in the sun until dry as chips.

   Pack in jars with sugar sprinkled between.
