Parker House Rolls

Ingredients

• a pint of milk
• a piece of butter the size of an egg
• a tablespoonful of sugar
• a cupful of yeast
• flour to make soft dough

Method

   Scald milk, melt butter in it, add sugar and yeast.

   Add flour to make soft dough and let rise overnight.

   In the morning, add soda dissolved in water, mix in enough flour, roll out, cut, spread butter, fold, and let rise before baking.
