Pancakes

Ingredients

• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons flour
• every tumbler of milk
• little butter in frying-pan

Method

   Put the flour and a little salt into a basin and mix with cold milk until quite smooth.

   Beat eggs well and stir into the flour.

   Then add the rest of the milk, mix to a thin batter.

4. 4

   Heat butter in frying-pan, pour in a thin layer of batter, and cook until set.

   Turn over and brown the other side.

   Serve immediately with powdered sugar and lemon juice or fruit jam.
