Palace Cake

Ingredients

• 1 packet Green's Sponge Mixture
• 4 ozs. Flour
• 4 ozs. Butter
• a few Currants
• 2 Eggs
• half a teacupful of Milk
• a good pinch of Salt
• a little finely cut Peel

Method

   Rub Butter into Sponge Mixture and Flour.

   Add beaten Eggs and Milk, beat to a smooth consistency, add Currants and Peel.

   Spread in a greased Swiss Roll Tin and bake until nut brown.
