Ox Kidney Stewed

Ingredients

• 1 Ox Kidney
• 1 table spoonful Flour
• Mustard
• Sugar
• Butter
• Ketchup
• 1 Onion
• Pepper
• Salt

Method

   Wash and dry the ox kidney, cut it into thin slices after removing fat.

   Heat butter in a small stew-pan until hot and brown, fry chopped onion slightly, then add kidney pieces and fry well.

   Gradually sprinkle in flour and stir until mixed.

   Add salt, pepper, mustard, sugar, and ketchup.

   Stir until dry like a paste, then add water, stir until boiling, cover, and stew gently for 1.5 hours.

   Serve with toasted bread.
