Old Fashioned Short Cake

Ingredients

• one large cup of rich sour cream
• one-half teaspoon salt
• the same of soda
• one pint flour

Method

   Mix sour cream, salt, and soda sifted with flour.

   Beat well for two minutes.

   In a buttered, hissing hot frying pan, spread the mixture, cover with a flat tin, and set over a hot griddle.

   Turn in less than ten minutes; when done, break into pieces and serve folded in a napkin.
