Milk Biscuits

Ingredients

• two ounces of sweet butter
• a gill of sweet milk
• a pound of flour

Method

   Warm butter in milk and use it to wet flour into a stiff paste.

   Beat with a rolling pin, roll out to a quarter inch thick, cut into small cakes, and bake for ten minutes in a quick oven.
