Marshmallow Cake

Ingredients

• Three cups granulated sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 5 cups flour
• 1 cup sweet milk
• 2 heaping teaspoons baking powder
• whites of 8 eggs
• 1 dessertspoon of vanilla

Method

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Have whites beaten to a froth, add half of them to butter and sugar, with half of flour, milk, half baking powder and vanilla; continue beating hard and add rest of flour and eggs; stir well.

   Bake in 2 square jelly cake tins.

   Ice when cold.
