Macaroni with Butter and Cream

Ingredients

• two tablespoonfuls of butter
• a teacupful of cream, or rich milk
• a heaping saltspoonful of salt

Method

   Scald the cream or rich milk, stir it gradually to the butter.

   Do not mix until the macaroni is ready.

   Turn off the water from the macaroni, pour the butter and cream over it in the kettle, and set it back on the fire to turn it over in the dressing.

   Then dish for the table.
