Macaroni Soup

Ingredients

• 4 ozs. Macaroni
• 1 quart new Milk
• 1 quart Water
• 1 large Onion
• 1 oz. of the crumbs of stale Bread

Method

   Soak macaroni for 2 hours.

   Put into boiling milk and water, add bread, onion, and salt, and boil slowly until soft.

   Rub through a sieve, return to pan, add seasoning and cream or butter, boil a few minutes, and serve with toasted bread.
