Lentil Soup

Ingredients

• 4 ozs. washed lentils
• a large sliced onion
• a carrot
• a small turnip
• Add seasoning
• a small bunch of herbs
• a quart of water or white stock

Method

   Put lentils in a pan with onion, carrot, turnip, seasoning, herbs, and water or stock.

   Simmer gently until tender.

   Rub through a sieve or colander.

   Blend flour with milk and add to boiling soup.

   Stir until boiling and simmer for 5 minutes.
