Layer-Cake Sandwiches

Ingredients

• Cream 1/4 cup of butter
• 1 tbsp. French mustard
• 1/4 teasp. of Kitchen Bouquet
• a little paprika
• and celery salt
• thin slices of white bread
• a slice of entire-wheat bread
• layer of chopped hard-boiled eggs
• mixed with minced pickle
• and capers
• a little anchovy or bloater paste

Method

   Cream butter and mix with mustard, Kitchen Bouquet, paprika, and celery salt.

   Spread on thin slices of white bread, cover with entire-wheat bread spread with a layer of chopped hard-boiled eggs mixed with pickle and capers, and anchovy paste.

   Wrap in cloth and press under weight for an hour.

   Trim crusts and cut into thin slices.
