One coffee cup sugar, two-thirds cup butter, half tea- spoon soda dissolved in two teaspoons hot water, flour enough to roll thin ; flavor with lemon. SEED CAKE. Mix a pound and a half of flour and a pound brown sugar, eight eggs beaten separately, an ounce of seeds to ‘the taste, two spoonfuls of yeast, and the same of milk and water. : WEDDING CAKE, Fifty eggs, five pounds sugar, five pounds flour, five pounds butter, fifteen pounds raisins, three pounds citron, & - th 198 -“DORA’S COOK BOOK. ten pounds currants, one pint brandy, one-fourth ounce cloves, one ounce cinnamon, four ounces of mace, four ounces nutmeg.
