Ingredients

• two cups of sugar
• one cup of butter
• three well beaten eggs
• three tablespoonfuls of milk
• six cups of flour
• a teaspoonful each of cinnamon
• nutmeg
• clove
• a cup of chopped raisins

Method

   Cream sugar and butter.

   Add beaten eggs and milk.

   Sift in flour and spices, then add raisins.

   Roll out dough to 0.25 inch thick, cut into squares, and bake in a quick oven for twelve minutes.
