Heidelberg Punch. Slice a large cucumber and mix with three tablespoonfuls of sugar and the thin rind of a lemon. Let the mixture stand for a couple of hours and then pour over it a pint of claret, a pint of Vichy or soda-water, half a tumblerful of sherry, and three tablespoonfuls of brandy
