Cut in the shortening and add the milk to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured board, knead 12 times, and roll into a rectangular shape. Combine the ham with the beaten egg, catsup, butter and seasonings. Spread evenly over the dough and roll up like a jelly roll. Bake at 375° F. for 25 minutes.
