Green Pepper Sandwiches with Anchovy a la Favorite

Ingredients

• Eight slices of bread
• four tablespoons of butter
• one teaspoon of anchovy paste
• two green peppers
• yolks of two hard-boiled eggs
• cayenne pepper
• salt
• some lemon juice

Method

1. 1

   Cut rings from green peppers, chop the rest finely.

   Cream butter, add chopped pepper and anchovy paste, season.

   Spread on thin bread slices, roll, chill.

   Cut thin slices of bread, spread with butter, add roll slices, decorate with egg yolk mixture.

   Arrange on a platter with green pepper rings.
