Green Pea Soup

Ingredients

• 1 pint or can peas
• White pepper
• ½ teaspoonful sugar
• ½ teaspoonful salt
• 1 pint liquid around peas and
• water
• 1½ tablespoonfuls butter
• 2 tablespoonfuls flour
• 1 pint milk

Method

1. 1

   Turn the peas into a saucepan; add the liquid, water, and sugar; and cook until very soft.

   Press the peas through a strainer.

3. 3

   Make a white sauce of the remaining ingredients.

   Add the strained peas, heat, and serve.
