Ingredients

• Two cups dark brown sugar
• one-half cup butter
• two eggs
• one-half cup sour milk
• one-half cup chocolate or cocoa
• one-half cup hot water
• two cups sifted flour
• one teaspoon soda

Method

   Cream the butter and sugar together, add eggs.

   Pour hot water over the grated chocolate or cocoa, then add to the mixture.
