Ginger Cookies

Ingredients

• a half cupful of molasses
• one teaspoonful of soda
• half a cupful sour milk
• half a cupful of sugar
• one-third cupful of melted butter
• one well-beaten egg
• three cupfuls of flour
• one tablespoonful of ginger

Method

   Combine molasses, soda, sour milk, sugar, melted butter, and beaten egg.

   Gradually add flour and ginger to form a thick mass.

   Roll out on a floured board and cut into cookies.

   Bake in a hot oven.
