German Roast

Ingredients

• 1 lb. of minced Steak
• equal bulk (not weight) of Breadcrumbs
• 1 teaspoonful of Salt
• Some Pepper
• an Onion
• an Egg
• a little sweet Milk

Method

   Mix meat, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.

   Boil onion for a few minutes, chop finely, and add.

   Bind with egg, adding enough milk to make a stiff paste.

   Shape into a loaf and cook in the oven for about an hour.
