Fruit Cake

Ingredients

• 4 ozs. butter
• 2 eggs
• 4 ozs. castor sugar
• 8 ozs. plain flour
• 1 heaped teaspoonful baking powder
• Pinch of salt
• 4 ozs. sultanas
• 4 ozs. Currants

Method

   Cream the butter and sugar until soft.

   Beat in the eggs one at a time, adding a little flour with the second.

   Mix in the fruit, then sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt.

   Mix lightly and bake in a greased cake tin.
